Kyle Jacobs, a songwriter and the husband of Kellie Pickler, a country music performer, committed suicide at the age of 49.

Jacobs was discovered dead at their Nashville home on Friday, February 17. More than ten years have passed since Pickler and Jacobs got married. They appeared in the reality TV program I Love Kellie Pickler on CMT in 2015.

Police in Nashville reported getting a call from Kellie Pickler's house. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, a call to 911 came in from a residence on Sneed Road on Friday at 12:21 p.m. Central Time.

When they arrived, the fire department discovered Kyle Jacobs, 49, dead in an upstairs bedroom/office from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the MNPD, his death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.

Kellie Pickler, Mr. Jacobs' wife, stated that she had awoken a short while earlier, had not yet seen her husband, and had started looking for him.

The door to the upstairs bedroom/office was locked, and she and her personal assistant couldn't get it open, so the assistant called 911.
